How much do the sessions cost?
This will depend on a few factors, such as time and length of the session booking and and specific requirements. Get in touch to discuss the budget for your specific needs.
How long do the sessions last?
The minimum booking is 3 hours. This allows 1 hour of filming time, as 1 hour is needed to set-up before filming begins (during which time you can rehearse) and 1 hour to pack down at the end. To allow more time for filming a longer session can be booked.
Can I share a session with another singer?
Yes absolutely! If you have a colleague who would also like to have a session then you can buy a single session and split it between you, so you have half each. Just let us know that’s what you want to do before you come.
Do I need to bring a pianist?
If you would like a piano accompaniment then, yes, please do organise for a pianist to come with you to the session. The session time should really just be used for performance, so it is best to rehearse before you come and for this reason it is best to bring a pianist you already work with. Alternatively, a National Opera Studio trained repetiteur can be arranged by them at a fee of £30 per hour.
Where will the sessions be held?
The sessions will be held at the National Opera Studio in London.
When will the sessions be held?
This will primarily come down to the availability of of the National Opera Studio space and our team. Get in touch to discuss possible dates and we can find one that works for all parties. During weekdays in term time, availability in the hall is very limited due to the National Opera Studio’s own rehearsals – weekday evenings are better. Outside of term-time there is much more flexibility.
How many videos do I get & when will I get them?

Any specific details you would like included in the edit can be discussed at the session or contact us before.
How many audio files do I get & when will I get them?
You will get a separate audio file for each aria/song you recorded at the session. These will take 1-2 weeks to edit after the session and you will receive them once they have been fully edited.
